JEFF
WINARD
Wonderful World of Music
Jeff Winward
is no "newcomer" to the polka biz. Celebrating 40 years in the
music business, Jeff has put together a great recording of songs
he's played over his 40 year career. The majority of the tunes
are polkas and waltzes played in the popular "Yankovic/Slovenian"
style, including two numbers on the button box, along with two
original Mexican selections as well. There is also a fun
version of the "Chicken Dance", featuring Jeff's granddaughters and
there is also a country classic "Heartaches by the Number" on which
Steve Meisner joins Jeff for a vocal duet. In addition, one of
Jeff's all-time favorite "easy listening" songs, "What A Wonderful
World", rounding out 19 tunes in all. On a scale of 1 to 5 Laps
around the Polka Pit Stop Track, this recording gets a positive 5
Laps!

JOHN
LAPINSKI
Like
Father, Like Son
One thing
that can be said for most polka musicians is they pass along their
ethnic heritage to their children. John Lapinski and his son
Jim are a shining example. This recording was produced by Jim
and he took part on many of the songs, performing vocals. The
album features a guest appearance by Chrissy Wojtila, Don Wojtila
and Dan Wojtila. Also performing on this recording are the
fine musical talents of Joe Edwards, Eric Noltkamper, Hank Guzel
Jr., Al Bambic and Jason Uzl. Playing everything from
Slovenian Polkas and Waltzes, Slovac and Polish Tunes, it also
contains a timeless classic "When Your Old Wedding Ring Was New".
This is another great recording from John and the gang!

the talents of the group that goes into each and every polka mass
that they perform. There are 16 tracks in all, with the final
track being an added bonus of Maryann Wargo singing Ave Maria, like
